Sarah Goss, 23 years old, is the captain of New Zealand’s Women’s Rugby Sevens team in Brazil. Goss made her National side sevens debut in 2012, and credits her unmatched work ethic to a rural upbringing. Originally from Manawatu, NZ she’s shared stories of sheering sheep for 8-10 hours a day to save money for university. Goss first had her sights set on field hockey, only participating in high school rugby training to maintain fitness levels. Needless to say, her love of the game and accomplishments have grown since then, including a championship at the 2013 Women’s Rugby World Cup Sevens in Moscow.
