Portia Woodman – New Zealand Women’s Rugby Sevens Team

Portia WoodmanPortia Woodman, 25 years-old, participated in her first Sevens World Cup in 2013, where she was the top points scorer. Prior to rugby, Woodman celebrated a successful netball career. Her desire to compete in the 2016 games lead the transition from netball to rugby, where she follows in the footsteps of her father Kawhena Woodman, and uncle Fred Woodman. Both played for the New Zealand national team in the early 80’s.
